You have a lot of PDFs . . . maybe thousands of them.

You need to find specific terms inside all of these files, but you don't have a lot of time.

What can you do to accelerate the search process?

Using Acrobat you can create a Full Text Index that accelerates search 20X or more. Using Acrobat Catalog which is included with Acrobat, you can create your own mini-Google to make search fast and fun.

Acrobat offers two ways to find information:
  1. FIND
  2. SEARCH
Find is rather simplistic and allows you to find an individual word and click the NEXT button to go to a subsequent instance of the word.

SEARCH is much more sophisticated and offers the ability to see all search "hits" in a single panel, in the context of the surrounding text.

In this short videocast, you'll learn about the differences between FIND and SEARCH in Acrobat.
